Christy is my favorite doctor and our youngest daughter. I positioned her by the multi-hued waters of the “Island of the Women” off the Yucatan Peninsula. It is said that the earliest explorers arriving at this Caribbean island observed long hair on all its inhabitants and mistakenly thought all of them were women.
Christy practices in the field of neurology as a physician’s assistant at the Cleveland Clinic, and most everyone who knows her finds her concern helpful and her charm heart-warming. Her medical knowledge amazes us. Christy loves and resides with her husband, David, and her cat, Louie. Both of them make her very happy.
In painting her portrait, my hope and my efforts were intended to convey a small portion of how much Christy means to us. Incidentally, she also appears in the arms of her mother toward the end of this gallery in the charcoal rendering entitled “Karen with Christy.”
